Lyudkevych, Stanyslav

Stanyslav Lyudkevych(1879-1979), Ukrainian composer, theorist, teacher, and musical activist, learned music from his mother, then studied in Lviv and Vienna, earned a Ph. D in musicology in Vienna. He taught in Lviv, Premysl, appointed as the head of the musicological commission of the Shevchenko Scientific Society. He composed an opera, and orchestral music.
His name may be spelled as: Stanislaw Ludkiewicz(Polish), or Stanislav Ludkevich(Russian).
