Lysenko, Mykola

Mykola Lysenko(1842-1912), Ukrainian composer, he attended Kyiv University, also studied music privately and decided to devote all his life to music. He began his work which mainly consisted of collecting and elaborating on Ukrainian national songs. Later he studied at the Leipzig Conservatory and St. Petersburg Conservatory. He composed quartets, trios, waltzes, polonaises, sonatas etc.
